Unspecified (context-dependent within Bhūmi-khaṇḍa Adhyaya 81)

Concept: Key life parameters are fixed even in the womb—life-span, karmic trajectory, wealth, knowledge, and death—highlighting the limited control of the ego.

Application: Use what is given—time, resources, intellect—toward dharma and devotion; do not postpone sādhana, since death is also ‘appointed’.

Primary Rasa: bhayanaka

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A cosmic womb-vision: within a translucent lotus-bud shaped like a womb, a tiny embodied being floats, while five luminous seals hover around it—Āyuḥ, Karma, Vitta, Vidyā, and Nidhana—each inscribed in Devanāgarī. Above the lotus, Viṣṇu’s calm gaze appears in the sky as the silent overseer of order, offering a path of devotion beyond fear.","primary_figures":["Embodied being in the womb (garbha-stha jīva)","Five luminous seals: Āyuḥ, Karma, Vitta, Vidyā, Nidhana","A subtle Viṣṇu presence (witness form)"],"setting":"Symbolic inner-cosmic space: lotus-womb within a starry void, suggesting destiny being written.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance with soft inner glow","color_palette":["lotus-pink","pearl-white","sapphire blue","aureate gold","violet dusk"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: central lotus-womb with gold leaf highlights, tiny jīva figure, five jeweled medallions labeled Āyuḥ/Karma/Vitta/Vidyā/Nidhana in ornate script; Viṣṇu’s serene face or śaṅkha-cakra emblem above with embossed gold halo, rich crimson and emerald borders, gem-studded ornamentation.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: delicate translucent lotus-bud womb floating in a twilight sky, tiny jīva curled within; five glowing seals orbit gently, soft blues and pinks, refined minimalism and lyrical wonder, distant Himalayan-like clouds for ethereal depth.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: iconic lotus-womb, bold outlines, five circular seals with clear lettering, Viṣṇu emblem overhead; strong red-yellow-green palette with black contours, temple-wall symmetry and didactic clarity.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central lotus medallion as womb, five surrounding roundels with Devanāgarī labels, intricate floral borders with tulasi and lotus motifs; deep blue ground with gold highlights, devotional aura with śaṅkha-cakra at the top center."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"meditative","suggested_raga":"Bhairavi","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["tanpura drone","soft heartbeat-like drum (very subtle)","temple bell at ‘पंचैतानि’","deep silence after ‘निधनमेव च’","faint conch in distance"]}

FAQs

The verse lists five: lifespan (āyuḥ), karma (karma), wealth (vitta), knowledge (vidyā), and death (nidhanam).

It emphasizes that key life-parameters are ordained early (even in the womb), but it does not explicitly deny moral effort; in Purāṇic ethics, present conduct is still meaningful within the framework of karma.

A practical lesson is humility and steadiness: since outcomes like wealth and lifespan are not fully controllable, one should prioritize righteous action and the proper use of knowledge.
