FAQs

Because the addressed brāhmaṇa has combined three praised disciplines: tapas (austerity), satya (truthfulness), and a pāvana stotra (purifying hymn of praise), which together indicate sincerity, restraint, and devotion.

The verse highlights tapas (self-discipline/penance), satya (ethical truthfulness), and stotra (devotional praise), presenting them as complementary paths that attract divine favor.

That truthfulness is not merely speech-accuracy but a moral force (dharma) that strengthens spiritual practice; it is presented as a key reason for divine approval alongside austerity and devotion.
