Darum sollen im glückverheißenden Monat Jyeṣṭha die sterblichen Menschen, die sich zügeln, diszipliniert sind und sich ernsthaft mühen, die nach den Himmelswelten verlangen, den Darśana Puruṣottamas suchen.
Suta (narrating the Narada Purana discourse in the Uttara-Bhaga context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: vira
It teaches that sacred time (the auspicious month of Jyeṣṭha) combined with self-restraint and sincere effort makes Viṣṇu’s darśana especially spiritually potent, leading to elevated merit and higher destinations such as svarga.
Bhakti here is expressed as darśana-sevā—seeking Puruṣottama with disciplined conduct and earnest intention—showing devotion as an embodied practice linked to pilgrimage/holy visitation.
It implicitly uses Jyotiṣa/Vedic calendrics by emphasizing the month of Jyeṣṭha as an auspicious time for observance, aligning spiritual practice with sacred timekeeping.
