Nityā-paṭala-prakaraṇa

The Exposition of the Nityā-paṭala

हवनात्तदवाप्नोति यदादौ फलमीरितम् । एवं नक्षत्रवृक्षोत्थवह्नौ तैस्तैर्मधुप्लुतैः ॥ १८५ ॥

havanāttadavāpnoti yadādau phalamīritam | evaṃ nakṣatravṛkṣotthavahnau taistairmadhuplutaiḥ || 185 ||

Durch die havana (Feueropfergabe) erlangt man genau die Frucht, die zu Beginn verkündet wurde. Ebenso werden, wenn Gaben—jede mit Honig benetzt—in das Feuer dargebracht werden, das aus den den jeweiligen nakṣatras zugeordneten Bäumen entzündet ist, die genannten Früchte erlangt.
