Kṛṣṇādi-mantra-varga-varṇana

बालः पवनदीर्घैदुयुक्तो झिंटीशयुर्जलम् । अत्रिर्व्यासाय हृदयं मनुरष्टाक्षरोऽवतु ॥ १३४ ॥

bālaḥ pavanadīrghaiduyukto jhiṃṭīśayurjalam | atrirvyāsāya hṛdayaṃ manuraṣṭākṣaro'vatu || 134 ||

Möge uns das achtsilbige Mantra behüten: der Herr von kindlicher Natur, verbunden mit dem langen Atem des Windes; das Wasser, auf dem die jhiṃṭī‑Pflanze ruht; der ṛṣi Atri; und das Herz, das Vyāsa dargebracht wird — möge dieses achtsilbige Mantra unser Schutz sein.
