Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta

It teaches bhūta-śuddhi—an inner purification where the practitioner mentally dissolves the gross elements (water and earth) and their sensory qualities, culminating in dissolving body-identification to support detachment and liberation-oriented worship.
By reducing fixation on the body and its elemental qualities, the mind becomes fit for focused remembrance and worship; bhakti becomes steadier when gross identification (deha-abhimāna) is ‘burnt’ through disciplined inner purification.
It reflects a technical ritual-yogic procedure used as a preparatory limb for mantra practice—an applied method of purification (bhūta-śuddhi) that supports correct ritual performance and concentrated recitation.
