Transliteration

rāmaścaturdaśasamā daṃḍakānpravivāsyatām | tadākarṇyā hamudyukto'raṇyaṃ bhāryānujānvitaḥ || 17 ||

Translation

„Rāma soll für vierzehn Jahre in den Daṇḍaka-Wald verbannt werden.“ Als ich dies vernahm, brach auch ich in die Wildnis auf, begleitet von meiner Gemahlin und meinen jüngeren Brüdern.
