The Account of Hanumān
Narrator (Suta) describing Gautama’s act of obeisance (dialogue lead-in)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It affirms the essential non-difference between Śiva and Pārvatī while emphasizing the required attitude of humility—approaching the “great Lord” through praṇipāta (reverent prostration).
Bhakti is shown through respectful surrender: Gautama’s bowing is the devotional posture that precedes receiving instruction, grace, or a boon from the deity.
The practical takeaway is ritual etiquette (ācāra): praṇipāta and proper approach to a devatā before recitation, praise, or request—an applied discipline aligned with śikṣā/kalpa-style conduct rather than a technical rule of grammar or astrology.
