The Exposition of Hanumān’s Protective Kavaca
Māruti-kavaca

Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It establishes the kavaca as a sacred, lineage-transmitted protective teaching: received from a divine source, then passed on with restraint, emphasizing purity, faith, and proper eligibility.
By presenting Hanumān’s kavaca as a blessed gift to be reverently taught, it frames protection as arising from devoted surrender and disciplined transmission, not mere display or superstition.
It highlights mantra-vidhi and adhikāra (eligibility)—a procedural principle aligned with Vedic disciplines: certain protective recitations are to be taught carefully, preserving correct usage and sanctity.
