Mantra-Māhātmya and Sādhana of Kārtavīryārjuna

कृष्णा शत्रुभयोत्पत्त्ये वमंती पशुनाशिनी । कृते दीपे यदा पात्रं भग्नं दृश्यते दैवतः ॥ १०० ॥

kṛṣṇā śatrubhayotpattye vamaṃtī paśunāśinī | kṛte dīpe yadā pātraṃ bhagnaṃ dṛśyate daivataḥ || 100 ||

Ein dunkles, unheilvolles Zeichen weist auf aufkommende Furcht vor Feinden hin; Erbrechen gilt als Vorzeichen für den Verlust des Viehs. Ebenso, wenn nach dem Entzünden der Lampe ihr Gefäß durch das Walten des Schicksals zerbrochen erscheint, wird auch dies als Omen betrachtet.
