Hanumān-mantra-kathana: Mantra-bheda, Nyāsa, Yantra, and Prayoga
जुहुयात्पूर्ववत्प्रोक्तं यजनं वास्य सूरिभिः । महाकारागृहे प्राप्तो ह्ययुतं प्रजपेन्नरः ॥ १७१ ॥
juhuyātpūrvavatproktaṃ yajanaṃ vāsya sūribhiḥ | mahākārāgṛhe prāpto hyayutaṃ prajapennaraḥ || 171 ||
Man soll das Homa genau so ausführen, wie es zuvor vorgeschrieben wurde, wie es die Gelehrten lehren. Und wenn ein Mensch in ein großes Gefängnis geraten ist, soll er das Mantra zehntausendmal rezitieren.

It teaches continuity of dharma: when conditions allow, one should follow the prescribed homa exactly; when circumstances severely restrict action (such as imprisonment), disciplined japa becomes a valid, potency-bearing substitute focused on inner purification.
While framed as ritual instruction, it supports bhakti in practice: remembrance through repeated japa keeps the mind fixed on the deity/mantra even when external worship is obstructed, emphasizing constancy of devotion over circumstance.
It highlights practical prayoga (ritual application): correct performance ‘as previously taught’ (procedure/kalpa-style rigor) and the regulated use of japa with a specified count (ayuta = 10,000) as an alternative discipline.
