Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It prescribes a complete sādhanā cycle—worship (pūjā), meditation (dhyāna), mantra repetition (japa), and fire-offering (homa)—showing how inner practice is sealed by an outward sacrificial act.
Bhakti here is expressed as focused worship and remembrance of the deity’s form, sustained through disciplined japa; the concluding homa is an offering of devotion that externalizes the practitioner’s inner concentration.
It highlights ritual-technical knowledge: the lakṣa-count of japa and the daśāṃśa rule (one-tenth) for homa oblations, along with specific dravya (offerings) like rice mixed with milk, curd, and ghee.
