The Description of the Worship of Rāma and Others
Rāmādi-pūjā-vidhāna
rāmapādābjasevārthaṃ kṛtodyogamatho smaran | prajapallaṃkṣamekāṃte mahārogātpramucyate || 158 ||
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It links healing and protection to disciplined devotion: sincere effort in Rāma-smaraṇa and service, supported by a focused lakṣa-japa done in seclusion, leads to release from severe affliction.
Bhakti is shown as practical sādhanā—remembering the Lord, serving His lotus-feet (pāda-sevā), and steady repetition (japa) performed with commitment rather than mere sentiment.
It emphasizes the technical discipline of mantra practice—count-based japa (lakṣa), regulated effort (udyoga), and focused recitation in ekānta—principles aligned with correct practice of sacred utterance (śikṣā/prayoga).
