The Explanation of Sandhyā and Related Daily Observances

Saṅdhyā-ādi Nitya-karma-Vidhi

दीर्घत्रयेन्दुयुग्व्योमपूर्वकैश्च पिबेज्जलम् । आत्मविद्याशिवैरेव शैवं स्वाहावसानिकैः ॥ ५२ ॥

dīrghatrayenduyugvyomapūrvakaiśca pibejjalam | ātmavidyāśivaireva śaivaṃ svāhāvasānikaiḥ || 52 ||

Nachdem man zuerst die Silben „dīrgha, traya, indu, yuga, vyoma“ gesprochen hat, trinke man Wasser; ebenso vollziehe man mit den śivaitischen Mantras „ātma, vidyā, śiva“, die mit „svāhā“ enden, den śivaitischen Ritus.
