Nachdem man so das Mantra vom Guru empfangen hat, soll man von da an dem Dienst am Guru hingegeben sein—durch Besitz und Mittel, und ebenso durch die eigene Person, die Kinder und den Ehepartner.
Narada (teaching within a guru-śiṣya instruction context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that mantra is safeguarded and fructifies through sustained guru-sevā—an ongoing vow of humility and gratitude expressed through resources, personal effort, and one’s household support.
It frames devotion as concrete service: honoring the guru who transmits sacred knowledge, and aligning one’s life and family duties to support that sacred relationship.
It highlights the discipline required for Vedic learning: after receiving instruction (mantra), the student maintains proper conduct and service, which traditionally supports accurate study, recitation, and application of Vedic sciences.
