माप्रा नमामि च पदं नास्ति यस्मिन्स कीलितः । एवं मध्ये द्वयं मूर्ध्नि यस्मिन्नस्त्रलकारकौ ॥ २८ ॥

Im Wort „māprā“ und ebenso in „namāmi“ gibt es keinen Buchstaben, der „festgenagelt/fixiert“ wäre (d. h. als unbeweglich markiert). So sind in der Mitte zwei, und am Anfang stehen jene Buchstaben, die als technische Marker (lakāra) dienen.
