जायते च पुराणेभ्यस्तस्मात्तानीह देवताः । सर्ववेदार्थसाराणि पुराणानीति भूपते ॥ ९७ ॥

Transliteration

jāyate ca purāṇebhyastasmāttānīha devatāḥ | sarvavedārthasārāṇi purāṇānīti bhūpate || 97 ||

Translation

Und wahrlich, aus den Purāṇas gehen die Devas (und die Erkenntnis über sie) hervor; darum, o König, sind die Purāṇas hier die Essenz der Bedeutung aller Veden.
