The Greatness of the Gaṅgā
A sage (muni) addressing a king/householder (unnamed in this verse)

Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that a descendant’s meritorious act—especially connecting the lineage with the sanctifying power of Gaṅgā—can elevate the pitṛs (ancestors), showing the Purāṇic link between family duty (pitṛ-dharma) and spiritual uplift.
Bhakti is implied through reverence to sacred realities like Gaṅgā (seen as divine), and through selfless dharmic action for others (ancestors). Such service-oriented devotion becomes a means of accruing merit and divine grace.
It points to kalpa/prayoga (ritual procedure) in pitṛ-kāryas—using tīrtha-water like Gaṅgā for śrāddha and tarpaṇa—though no specific Vedāṅga technical detail is explicitly named in this verse.
