The Description of Mārkaṇḍeya
स ऋषिः परमप्रीतो दृष्ट्वा पुत्रं सुलक्षणम् । जातकं कारयामास मङ्गलं विधिपूर्वकम् ॥ ७ ॥
sa ṛṣiḥ paramaprīto dṛṣṭvā putraṃ sulakṣaṇam | jātakaṃ kārayāmāsa maṅgalaṃ vidhipūrvakam || 7 ||
Der Rishi war überaus erfreut, als er den Sohn mit glückverheißenden Merkmalen sah; darum ließ er die Geburtsriten und Segenszeremonien ordnungsgemäß und nach Vorschrift vollziehen.
