The Characteristics of Devotion to Hari

Solange die Sinne nicht geschwächt sind und solange Krankheit nicht bedrängt, soll man Viṣṇu ohne Zögern verehren—wenn man wahrhaft nach Befreiung verlangt.
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It urges immediate Viṣṇu-worship as a conscious spiritual priority, teaching that the human window for effective sādhana is strongest before sensory decline and debilitating illness, and that such devotion is aimed at mokṣa.
Bhakti here is presented as practical and time-sensitive: one should actively perform Viṣṇu-ārādhana now—while body and senses cooperate—rather than postponing devotion to the end of life.
The verse highlights sādhana-discipline rather than a specific Vedāṅga: it emphasizes proper timing and readiness for worship (a pragmatic principle that supports ritual performance and daily devotional observance).
