Prāyaścitta for Mahāpātakas and the Sin-destroying Power of Viṣṇu-smaraṇa
दिनद्वये ब्रह्महत्याव्रतं कुर्याद्यथाविधि । एकस्मिन्नेव दिवसे बहुवारं त्रिवार्षिकम् ॥ ६६ ॥
dinadvaye brahmahatyāvrataṃ kuryādyathāvidhi | ekasminneva divase bahuvāraṃ trivārṣikam || 66 ||
Er sollte das Sühnegelübde für Brahmahatyā (die Sünde, einen Brāhmaṇa zu töten) in der vorgeschriebenen Weise über zwei Tage hinweg durchführen; und an einem einzigen Tag sollte er den Ritus, der sonst drei Jahre lang zu beachten wäre, viele Male wiederholen.
