Ekādaśī Vrata-Vidhi and the Galava–Bhadrashīla Itihāsa
Dharmakīrti before Yama
Narada (in dialogue with the Sanatkumara tradition of teachers)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights the Purana’s core teaching method: sincere, affectionate inquiry (prashna) offered with humility to a realized sage, establishing the proper attitude for receiving dharma and spiritual knowledge.
Bhakti begins with reverence and heartfelt openness; the speaker approaches the sage with prīti (loving regard) and requests instruction, showing that devotion matures through respectful listening and guidance from the wise.
The verse emphasizes disciplined transmission of knowledge—clear questioning and authoritative explanation—supporting the Vedanga spirit of precise learning (especially Vyākaraṇa-style clarity and structured teaching), though no specific technical science is directly named.
