The Pañcarātra Vow (Haripañcaka Vrata): Observance from Śukla Ekādaśī to Pūrṇimā
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: Paurṇamāsī observance (with Viṣṇu-arcana); also Ekādaśī vigil
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes disciplined sacred timing: worship of Viṣṇu on Pūrṇimā and the added austerity of jāgaraṇa on Ekādaśī and Pūrṇimā, strengthening devotion, self-control, and focused remembrance of the Lord.
Bhakti is presented as a lived practice—regular Viṣṇu-arcana on auspicious lunar days and keeping vigil, which sustains continuous smaraṇa (remembrance) and expresses love through effort and restraint.
It relies on calendrical discipline (tithi-based observance—Ekādaśī and Pūrṇimā), reflecting practical Jyotiṣa-style time-reckoning used to schedule vrata and pūjā correctly.
