Indem er spricht: „Ehrerbietung Dir, o Hṛṣīkeśa“, soll der Mensch den Herrn verehren. Mit dem Opferbrei (caru), mit Honig vermischt, soll er hundertachtmal Opfergaben darbringen.
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It links devotion and ritual: verbal surrender to Hṛṣīkeśa (“namas tubhyam”) is completed by disciplined worship and a measured homa, showing bhakti expressed through sacred action.
Bhakti here is not only inner feeling; it is enacted through respectful address to Viṣṇu and attentive, repeated offerings—devotion made steady through mantra, puja, and homa.
Ritual procedure (kalpa-prayoga) is implied: specifying the offering substance (caru with honey) and the exact count (108) reflects precise homa-vidhi and mantra-based worship practice.
