Pāpa-bheda, Naraka-yātanā, Mahāpātaka-vicāra, Atonement Limits, Daśa-vidhā Bhakti, and Gaṅgā as Final Remedy

पतितान्नादनं चैव सुरापानसमं स्मृतम् । उपासमापरित्यागो देवलानां च भोजनम् ॥ ३१ ॥

patitānnādanaṃ caiva surāpānasamaṃ smṛtam | upāsamāparityāgo devalānāṃ ca bhojanam || 31 ||

Speise zu essen, die ein Gefallener (sittlich Entarteter) gibt, gilt als dem Trinken von Alkohol gleich. Ebenso werden das Aufgeben der täglichen Verehrung und das Essen der den Gottheiten dargebrachten Speise (bevor sie rechtmäßig als Prasāda empfangen wird) getadelt.
