O bester König, wer Zuckerrohr spendet, wird in der Himmelswelt für zehntausend göttliche Jahre geehrt und gelangt danach zur Wohnstatt Brahmās.
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta (peace)
Secondary Rasa: bhakti (devotion)
It teaches that even a specific, simple act of charity—giving sugarcane—produces vast merit: prolonged honor in Svarga and eventual ascent to Brahmaloka, underscoring the Purana’s emphasis on dāna as a practical form of dharma.
While it speaks directly about dāna-phala (results of charity), the implied bhakti principle is offering one’s resources in a spirit of reverence and service; such selfless giving supports purity of heart that complements Vishnu-bhakti taught throughout the Narada Purana.
The verse reflects ritual ethics (dharmaśāstra-oriented practice) rather than a specific Vedanga; practically, it highlights the Vedic culture of prescribed dāna with defined phala (merit-results) as guidance for householders.
