FAQs

It presents dāna (a major dharmic practice) as an act of devotion: offering even “the earth” symbolically culminates in pleasing Janārdana, indicating that the highest fruit of charity is divine satisfaction rather than mere merit.

Bhakti is shown as intention-centered: the act of giving is explicitly dedicated to Janārdana through a mantra, aligning ritual action (karma) with loving remembrance and surrender to Viṣṇu.

Mantra-prayoga (practical application of a mantra in a rite) is implied—showing the ritual framing of dāna through correctly spoken formulae, a domain connected to Śikṣā (proper recitation) and Kalpa (ritual procedure).
