Vāmana’s Advent, Aditi’s Hymn, Bali’s Gift, and the Mahatmya of Bhū-dāna
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that Hari’s remembrance has inherent purifying power: even a flawed or distracted person gains papa-kshaya because Vishnu-smriti itself is spiritually efficacious.
Bhakti begins with simple smarana (remembrance). The verse emphasizes that even imperfect devotion—mere recollection of Hari—can cleanse sin, encouraging steady Hari-nama and Vishnu-smriti as a practical entry into devotion.
No specific Vedanga (e.g., Vyakarana, Jyotisha, Kalpa) is taught directly; the practical takeaway is dharmic sadhana through daily smriti/japa—using disciplined repetition and remembrance as a consistent spiritual observance.
