विष्णुचक्रोत्कृत्तशिराः पङ्गुः पीयूषपानतः । अमृत्युतां गतस्तत्र खेटत्वे परिकल्पितः ॥ ७९ ॥
viṣṇucakrotkṛttaśirāḥ paṅguḥ pīyūṣapānataḥ | amṛtyutāṃ gatastatra kheṭatve parikalpitaḥ || 79 ||
Dort erlangte der Lahme—dessen Haupt vom Diskus Viṣṇus abgetrennt worden war—durch das Trinken des Nektars (amṛta) die Unsterblichkeit und wurde daraufhin in den Stand eines himmlischen Gestirns, eines Planeten (kheṭa), eingesetzt.

It highlights how Viṣṇu’s divine agency can transform even a seemingly ruined state (beheaded, lame) into deathlessness, indicating the supremacy of divine grace over ordinary karmic limitation.
By centering Viṣṇu (and His cakra) as the decisive power behind transformation and immortality, the verse supports the bhakti view that surrender to Viṣṇu brings protection and upliftment beyond worldly conditions.
The verse uses cosmological vocabulary—especially kheṭa (planet/celestial luminary)—which aligns with Jyotiṣa-style technical language about heavenly bodies and their ordained status in the cosmic order.
