Graha–Ketu–Utpāta Lakṣaṇas: Solar/Lunar Omens, Comets, Eclipses, and Calendar Rules
Narada (in dialogue context with the Sanatkumara tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It contrasts inauspicious and auspicious forces—those linked with Kuja (Mars) yielding aniṣṭa (unwanted results) and those linked with Agni yielding sukha (well-being)—encouraging discernment of karmic outcomes (phala) while pursuing dharma and mokṣa.
Indirectly, it frames worldly experiences as varying results (aniṣṭa vs. sukha); bhakti and dharmic living help one remain steady amid adverse influences and use favorable conditions without attachment, aligning the mind toward liberation.
It reflects Jyotiṣa (a Vedāṅga) through graha-related taxonomy and phala-vicāra—classifying beings by planetary/fire lineage and stating their typical effects as inauspicious or happiness-giving.
