FAQs

It shows that even within Moksha-Dharma teaching, the Purana preserves precise śāstric classifications—implying that disciplined knowledge (vidyā) supports clarity of mind and right discernment on the path to liberation.

This particular verse is technical rather than devotional; indirectly, it frames correct śāstric understanding as a support for a devotee’s ordered life, which can steady the mind for Vishnu-bhakti.

Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa-style technicality: it references numerical divisions (triṃśa, saptama), a sixfold grouping (ṣaḍvarga), and geometric ‘placements’ (triangle/square) used in structured computations or schematic classifications.
