छन्नघ्नमस्मान्मूलं तु खांगोनग्लौवपुर्हृतम् । स्थित्यर्द्धं घटिकादिस्याद्व्यंगबाह्वंशसंमितैः ॥ १५६ ॥

Transliteration

channaghnamasmānmūlaṃ tu khāṃgonaglauvapurhṛtam | sthityarddhaṃ ghaṭikādisyādvyaṃgabāhvaṃśasaṃmitaiḥ || 156 ||

Translation

Aus diesem Verfahren wird der «Wurzel»-Wert gewonnen, indem man den verdeckten Faktor streicht und die durch die Zeichen kha, aṅga, na, gla und vapu bezeichneten Terme entfernt. Danach bestimmt man die halbe Dauer in ghaṭikā und verwandten Einheiten, gemessen nach dem korrigierten Armlängenmaß und seinen Unterteilungen.
