ब्रह्माचार्यौ स्वशाखौ हि कर्तव्यौ यज्ञकर्मणि । ऋत्विजां नियमो नास्ति यथालाभं समर्चयेत् ॥ २५ ॥
brahmācāryau svaśākhau hi kartavyau yajñakarmaṇi | ṛtvijāṃ niyamo nāsti yathālābhaṃ samarcayet || 25 ||
Für den Opferakt (yajña) sollen gewiss zwei Brahmacārins, Schüler des Keuschheitsgelübdes, aus der eigenen vedischen Śākhā bestellt werden. Hinsichtlich der amtierenden Priester (ṛtvij) gibt es keine starre Vorschrift—man soll sie gebührend ehren und nach Verfügbarkeit einsetzen.
