Kalpa-Lakṣaṇa and Gṛhya-Kalpa: Classifications, Purifications, Implements, and Spatial Rite-Design
Sanatkumara (in dialogue addressing Narada; teaching ritual-dharma within Moksha Dharma)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It identifies sacred water (Āpaḥ) as embodying both divine forces and ancestral presences, making water-sprinkling (prokṣaṇa) not merely physical cleaning but a sanctifying act that aligns one with devas and pitṛs.
By grounding purification in sacred water, it supports bhakti practice indirectly: clean, consecrated preparation of body and space is treated as a respectful offering-condition for worship, japa, and pūjā—devotion expressed through disciplined ritual reverence.
It highlights Kalpa (ritual procedure): the vidhi-based rationale for prokṣaṇa/aspersion with water as an authorized purification method taught by ritual experts.
