Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 5

योगस्वरूप-धारणा-समाधि-वर्णनम् (केशिध्वजोपदेशः)

विषयेभ्यः समाहृत्य विज्ञानात्मा बुधो मनः । चिन्तयेन्मुक्तये तेन ब्रह्मभूतं परेश्वरम् ॥ ५ ॥

viṣayebhyaḥ samāhṛtya vijñānātmā budho manaḥ | cintayenmuktaye tena brahmabhūtaṃ pareśvaram || 5 ||

Nachdem der Weise den Geist von den Sinnesobjekten zurückgezogen hat—dessen Wesen wahre Unterscheidung ist—soll er um der Befreiung willen den Höchsten Herrn betrachten, der als Brahman gegründet ist.
