It teaches that spiritual progress is not wasted: even if the mind is disturbed by impediments, sustained practice (abhyāsa) across lifetimes causes previously established liberation-oriented momentum to reawaken.
By implying that lapses caused by obstacles do not permanently erase inner spiritual impressions; steady return to sādhana—especially remembrance and devotion—revives prior progress and again turns the mind toward liberation.
The verse mainly emphasizes sādhana and samskāra rather than a specific Vedāṅga; practically, it underscores disciplined repetition (abhyāsa) and mental training—principles that align with Vyākaraṇa-style rigor (consistent practice) and Dharma-śāstra’s focus on habit-formation.
