पितृमात्रादिपूज्यत्वे शिवशर्मकथा पुरा । सुव्रतस्य कथा पश्चाद्वृत्रस्य च वधस्तथा ॥ ८ ॥

pitṛmātrādipūjyatve śivaśarmakathā purā | suvratasya kathā paścādvṛtrasya ca vadhastathā || 8 ||

Im Abschnitt über die Pflicht, Vater, Mutter und andere Älteste zu verehren, wird die alte Erzählung von Śivaśarman berichtet; danach folgt die Geschichte von Suvrata und ebenso die Tötung Vṛtras.
