Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 71

The Narration of the Trayodaśī Vow Observed Throughout the Twelve Months

ततश्च दक्षिणां दत्वा स्वयमेकाशनं चरेत् । एवं कृते तु विधिवद्व्रती सौभाग्यभाजनः ॥ ७१ ॥

tataśca dakṣiṇāṃ datvā svayamekāśanaṃ caret | evaṃ kṛte tu vidhivadvratī saubhāgyabhājanaḥ || 71 ||

Dann, nachdem die vorgeschriebene dakṣiṇā (Priestergabe) dargebracht wurde, soll man selbst die Zucht üben, nur eine Mahlzeit zu sich zu nehmen. Wird dies ordnungsgemäß vollzogen, wird der Gelübdeübende zum Empfänger guten Glücks.
