FAQs

It defines a specific sacred time—Mārgaśīrṣa Śukla Navamī—named Nandinī, and teaches that fasting with wholehearted worship of Jagadambā on that tithi is a meritorious devotional discipline (vrata).

Bhakti here is expressed through upavāsa (fasting as self-restraint) and prapūjā (complete, reverent worship) directed to the divine Mother, showing devotion enacted as timed ritual observance rather than mere belief.

It applies calendrical ritual science—tithi-based timing (Navamī in the Śukla pakṣa) and month identification (Mārgaśīrṣa)—which aligns with Jyotiṣa-style religious timekeeping used for vrata and pūjā scheduling.
