Saptamī-vrata-prakāśana
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes disciplined worship through exact counts and sequence in homa, teaching that devotion (pūjā) is strengthened when ritual action (āhuti) is performed with order (krama) and steadiness.
Bhakti here is expressed as reverent, methodical worship—first honoring the deity, then offering repeated āhutis. The precision of offerings reflects single-pointed attention and sincerity rather than casual practice.
It highlights kalpa-style ritual procedure: prescribed numbers (aṣṭaśata, aṣṭāṣṭa) and ordered sequencing (krama) of oblations, a key feature of Vedic ritual science used in yajña and homa practice.
