FAQs

It frames marriage-gifting (kanyādāna/handing over) as a sacred, prayerful act, invoking Aryamā—an Āditya associated with social bonds and marriage—so the rite becomes aligned with dharma rather than mere social custom.

Bhakti appears here as reverent ritual devotion: the act of “duly worshipping” and then praying transforms a worldly transition into an offering performed with sacred intention and divine remembrance.

It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure) through the sequence—begin the rite, perform proper worship, then recite the formal prayer/mantra—showing how samskāra actions are structured and sanctified in practice.
