Sanatkumara (in dialogue instruction to Narada)
Vrata: Jāti-Candrodaya
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It marks a precise sacred time—Śrāvaṇa Caturthī—for performing a named vow (vrata), showing how dharma is practiced through calendrical discipline and faith in auspicious timing.
By prescribing a specific vrata on an auspicious tithi, it frames devotion as regular, time-bound worship—bhakti expressed through observance, restraint, and ritual remembrance.
It highlights Jyotiṣa (Vedic calendrics/astrology): identifying the month (Śrāvaṇa) and tithi (Caturthī) as the correct ritual timing for a particular observance.
