Narada (instructing the Sanatkumara brothers / disciples)
Vrata: Tṛtīyā-vratas (plural; summary)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes that the efficacy of a vrata is rooted in bhakti: devotion transforms ritual observance into a spiritually potent act that yields meaningful results.
It teaches that when vows are performed with sincere devotion rather than mere formality, they become a direct means to attain one’s intended aims—aligning inner intention (manogatāḥ kāmāḥ) with sacred practice.
It implicitly relies on calendrical/ritual timing—tithi-based observance (Tṛtīyā)—a practical application connected with Jyotiṣa (Vedāṅga astrology/astronomy) for determining proper ritual days.
