The Exposition of the Pratipadā Vrata for the Twelve Months
Narada (teaching within a vrata/puja instruction stream; traditionally in dialogue with Sanatkumara)
Vrata: none (transition to a new Phālguna bright-fortnight observance; specific vrata name not given in this verse)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It links prosperity (samṛddhi) with disciplined, scripture-aligned worship (vidhi), emphasizing that inner devotion should be expressed through correct ritual conduct and sacred timing.
Bhakti here is practical and embodied: honoring the Devadeva through attentive worship and observing auspicious calendrical markers (Phālguna śukla) as part of devotional discipline.
Kalā/astronomical timing and dharma-śāstric procedure are implied—choosing the bright fortnight of Phālguna (a calendrical rule) and following vidhi (ritual injunctions) for worship.
