Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 18

The Exposition of the Pratipadā Vrata for the Twelve Months

आकृष्णेनेति वेदोक्तमंत्रेणेत्थं क्षमापयेत् । एवं भक्त्या समभ्यर्च्य दत्त्वा विप्राय दक्षिणाम् ॥ १८ ॥

ākṛṣṇeneti vedoktamaṃtreṇetthaṃ kṣamāpayet | evaṃ bhaktyā samabhyarcya dattvā viprāya dakṣiṇām || 18 ||

So soll man Vergebung erbitten, indem man das vedisch vorgeschriebene Mantra rezitiert, das mit „ākṛṣṇena“ beginnt. Danach, nachdem man in Bhakti gebührend verehrt hat, gebe man einem gelehrten Brāhmaṇa die Dakṣiṇā.
