The Exposition of the Pratipadā Vrata for the Twelve Months
Narada
Vrata: Vidyā-vrata
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It links dharmic practice to concrete and subtle results: a properly timed vrata is said to yield ārogya (well-being) and to support vidyā (learning), showing how tithi-based discipline aligns body and mind with sacred order.
While it does not name a deity here, it reflects a bhakti-compatible principle: devotional observances (vratas) performed at the prescribed time purify the practitioner and strengthen steadiness for worship, study, and remembrance.
It emphasizes tithi-based timing, aligning with Jyotiṣa Vedāṅga (Vedic calendrics/astrology) used to determine auspicious lunar dates for performing specific vratas like Vidyā-vrata.
