Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames the Purāṇa as a complete, efficacious teaching—capable of granting spiritual attainments (siddhi) and fulfilling rightful aspirations—thereby establishing faith in the text’s transformative power.
By presenting the Purāṇa as “sarva-lokābhīṣṭa-pradāyakam” (granting cherished aims), it supports the Purāṇic model where hearing and assimilating sacred narration (śravaṇa) becomes a direct means to grace and fulfillment, a core Bhakti methodology.
No specific Vedāṅga is taught in this verse; it functions as a prologue (prastāva) emphasizing the fruit (phala) of Purāṇic instruction rather than technical disciplines like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa.
