*शौनक उवाच त्वरितं देवयान्याथ प्रेषिता पितुरात्मनः सर्वं निवेदयामास धात्री तस्मै यथातथम् //

Transliteration

*śaunaka uvāca tvaritaṃ devayānyātha preṣitā piturātmanaḥ sarvaṃ nivedayāmāsa dhātrī tasmai yathātatham //

Translation

Śaunaka sprach: Daraufhin wurde Devayānī von ihrem eigenen Vater eilends entsandt und ließ ihm durch ihre Amme (Dhātrī) alles berichten, genau wie es sich zugetragen hatte.
