Adhyaya 61The Second Manvantara Begins: The Brahmin’s Swift Journey and Varuthini’s Temptation on Himavat

सहस्रं योजनानां हि दिनार्धेन व्रजामि यत् ।

आयास्यामिति सञ्चिन्त्य तदर्धेनापरेण हि ॥

sahasraṁ yojanānāṁ hi dinārdhena vrajāmi yat |

āyāsyāmīti sañcintya tadardhenāpareṇa hi ||

Denn ich lege tausend Yojanas in einem halben Tag zurück; in dem Gedanken: „Ich werde zurückkehren“, plante er, die andere Hälfte dieser Zeit für die Rückreise zu nutzen.
