Adhyaya 61The Second Manvantara Begins: The Brahmin’s Swift Journey and Varuthini’s Temptation on Himavat

तेनानुलिप्तपादोऽथ स द्विजो द्विजसत्तम ।

हिमवन्तमगाद् द्रष्टुं नानाप्रस्रवणान्वितम् ॥

tenānulipta-pādo ’tha sa dvijo dvija-sattama |

himavantam agād draṣṭuṁ nānā-prasravaṇānvitam ||

Dann ging jener Brāhmaṇa, dessen Füße damit gesalbt waren, um Himavat — den Himalaya — zu schauen, geschmückt mit vielen Wasserfällen, o Bester der Zweifachgeborenen.
